Leading Canada’s participation at Expo 2025 Osaka
Global Affairs Canada (GAC), on behalf of the Government of Canada, has the mandate to plan, coordinate and implement Canada’s participation at Expo 2025. We collaborate with other government departments and agencies as well as with provinces and territories to ensure Canada has a compelling presence at Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai.
Leading Canada’s participation at Expo 2025 Osaka
Global Affairs Canada (GAC), on behalf of the Government of Canada, has the mandate to plan, coordinate and implement Canada’s participation at Expo 2025. We collaborate with other government departments and agencies as well as with provinces and territories to ensure Canada has a compelling presence at Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai.
Canada’s design and construction team
ES Global is leading a consortium bringing together a talented Canadian team including:
- JKFL Productions as project managers and coordinators
- Mirari as design team and creative direction of the pavilion, with Robert Lepage and Steve Blanchet as co-designers of the public presentation
- Soleil Launière, artist and Indigenous Cultural Advisor, of the Pekuakamiulnuatsh First Nation (website in French only)
- Rayside Labossière Architectes (website in French only) and Architect Guillaume Pelletier
and Japan-based resources including:
- ESG KK Japan (website in Japanese only),
- Osaka-based Shima, as our builder (website in Japanese only),
- SO & CO. as our Architect of Record, and
- Sato Facilities Consultants who will provide project management support services.
The team will work collaboratively to create a delightful and surprising Canada Pavilion where visitors can discover our progressive, adventurous and welcoming country as we create the future together.
